“If a customer has a complaint about the quality of our product or finds a foreign object in the packaging, this complaint makes it through the customer service and ends up with me. It’s then up to me, here in Steenderen, to find the root cause of the problem in order to guarantee optimum quality.”

There are lots of different parts and processes in a factory that can break down or malfunction. I’ll then sit down with a mechanic to see whether we have to combat the symptoms or draw up an improvement plan to prevent the problem from recurring.”

“Once a week, I get to test new Aviko products as a member of the Crunch Team. Together will several colleagues, I’ll test our products blind, paying attention to things like colour, smell, texture and crunchiness. Everyone will sit a long table with a tablet, a glass of water, crackers and, of course, the new products. Before you’re allowed to join the team, you have to pass a test to see if your sense of smell and taste and your assessment skills are up to par.”
