Quality Supervisor

As a quality supervisor, Wendy van Dijck monitors all things quality-related. From potatoes to packaging, and of course the chips themselves.

“On top of my standard quality work in the factory, I also get to do other projects. I was given the opportunity to work with a production manager and team manager to help design the canteen and changing room of one of our locations in Steenderen, for example. Quality also played a big role in that process, so I had the opportunity to give a lot of input.”

"Mom eats fries every day."

“You’re more than just a number here and everyone has their own field of expertise. I’ve also noticed that people feel really connected to each other in a factory: we’re all working together to achieve the same goal and feel a great sense of responsibility.

My kids love that mum gets to eat chips every day. Every morning, I test samples of batches made in the past 24 hours by deep frying half a kilo of fries and taste testing a few. I test them for firmness, color, smell and taste, to name but a few criteria. I have to go on a training course every year to keep developing my skills. For my children, eating chips at 7.30 in the morning would be a dream. I love it too!”
