Sustainability Coordinator

Aviko assumes a leading role in sustainability by actively contributing to a future-proof chain.. As Sustainability Coordinator, you will support Aviko in reducing our footprint throughout this entire chain, from farm to fork.

Where are you going to work?

Aviko has the ambition to take a leading role in sustainability in our chain, from farm to fork (scope 3). As Sustainability Coordinator, you will have a coordinating role to further map out our scope 3 footprint, together with colleagues from various functions, and translate it into reduction targets and action plans.

As Sustainability Coordinator, you will become part of Aviko's Sustainability department. This is a small team with short lines of communication and big ambitions. We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague who, like us, has a passion for making Aviko and the entire chain more sustainable!

What will you do?

  • You will map out the CO2 emissions throughout the entire chain (scope 3) together with different departments and external parties (suppliers and customers)
  • Together with your colleagues you will determine strategic reduction targets and coordinate progress towards achieving them
  • You will assist in building a dashboard for monitoring and steering our scope 3 emissions
  • You will look for ‘quick wins’ together with the Sustainability Manager
  • You will take the initiative to work towards a more sustainable chain, with the ultimate goal of carbon-neutral chains, from farm to fork
  • You will be the point of contact within Aviko and on behalf of Aviko to the Cosun group for scope 3, and you will also become part of various platforms to share knowledge

What do you bring?

  • You have completed a bachelor's or master's degree with a focus on sustainability. Preferably in the fields of Life Sciences, Sustainable Food Systems, or Life Cycle Science
  • You are strongly motivated to contribute to a sustainable world and enjoy staying up-to-date on the latest innovations and developments in this field
  • You enjoy taking on new challenges, you feel responsible and know how to manage projects well
  • You are a true connector and with your communication skills, you can bring all stakeholders within and outside the organization along
  • You have approximately 5 years of work experience and preferably have experience with sustainability and CO2 during your studies/work
  • You have excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English
