Group Financial Controller

Are you ready for the challenging role, where you are responsible for financial processes, consolidation, and reporting in an international environment, while leading a team of professionals and reporting directly to the CFO?

Where are you going to work?

As Group Financial Controller, you, together with your colleagues in the Finance department, oversee the entire accounting and reporting cycle of Aviko. You are responsible for preparing the monthly and annual financial statements and analyzing group results. With conviction, you lead a team of Finance professionals and take responsibility for reporting, consolidation, and internal control for a total of 40 entities in EMEA/Asia. As the right hand of the CFO, you are not only accountable for accounting, Accounts Payables, and Cash management in the Netherlands and Germany but also for promoting innovative thinking and continuously improving financial processes. You are a connecting manager capable of innovative thinking with a constant focus on improving operations.

In the role of Group Financial Controller, you work closely with (international) Business Controllers and have extensive contact with financial professionals from Cosun in the areas of Consolidation, Treasury, and Tax. You find yourself in an international environment, where the majority of your time will be spent at our headquarter in Steenderen.

What will you do?

  • As Group Financial Controller, you are responsible for efficient and effective processes for accounting, consolidation and reporting, and you act as the process owner for the systems supporting these functions
  • You oversee the monthly and year-end closing, consolidation and financial reporting of Aviko, both internally and to Cosun
  • Your team conducts the monthly result analysis of the group, consolidates the forecast, and you will coordinate the annual budget
  • You lead a team of approximately 9 financial professionals, placing a high priority on their development
  • You maintain contact with the auditors, coordinate the year-end closing process and ensure the presence of correct internal controls for all entities within Aviko
  • You are capable of building bridges and support management in decision-making by providing clear insights.

What do you bring?

  • Master's degree in Business Economics (or similar), preferably with an RA qualification
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in an international environment; experience in FMCG is an advantage
  • You are a people-oriented leader
  • Knowledge of Dutch GAAP and IFRS
  • Affinity/knowledge with data analysis and ERP systems
  • Knowledge of fiscal matters; VAT, transfer pricing & corporate income tax
  • You are pragmatic, down-to-earth, hands-on, and willing to tackle financial issues in a project-oriented manner.
