Corporate Safety Specialist

As Corporate Safety Specialist at Aviko you will be responsible for driving a proactive safety culture and implementing safety programs and standards. Together with your colleague’s all over the world you ensure that everyone and every product is safe!

Where are you going to work?

Safety at Aviko is our number one priority. Our corporate SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) team is responsible for the Aviko roadmap towards a proactive culture on these important topics. For safety we are looking for a strong personality to drive this change in cooperation with our SHE community. Together with the Aviko sites, you ensure that we continuously improve and develop our safety ambitions and programs. Example activities include leadership training and campaigning across all Aviko entities, but also stimulating organizational learning and compliance monitoring in line with ISO standards. Giving our high ambitions regarding safety, this position yields a lot of interesting and challenging activities for the coming years. What will you do?

  • You will ensure that internal and external entities (e.g. contractors) are on board of and aligned with our Aviko Safety Journey
  • You develop and coordinate Safety leadership sessions (e.g. Safety dialogues) and implement Safety programs (e.g. Safety rules)
  • You stimulate organizational learning. For example  through support with incident and rule breaking analysis as well as proper follow-up across the whole organization
  • You continue developing our centralized and harmonized management system approach in line with ISO45001 and ISO14001. This includes compliance monitoring and corporate dashboarding
  • You support Site Safety to bridge the corporate ambition with practice and, if needed, give ad-hoc local support with SHE topics in general

What do you bring?

  • You have great communication skills and are able to communicate easily at different levels within the organization
  • You are strongly driven to inspire people regarding safety and to drive change
  • You have completed a Bachelor’s of Master’s degree regarding safety (e.g. IVK or HVK)
  • You have knowledge of Safety behavior theories and are familiar with ISO45001 and ISO14001
  • You have 3-5 year work experience in the field of Safety, preferably with a focus on cultural change
  • You are willing to travel to other Aviko sites (approximately 3-5 days a month)
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English (both oral and written)
