Mandy Cheung makes life a lot easier for her colleagues. She automates processes, works on software innovations and processes sales requests from colleagues from all locations. For a long time, she worked in China.
“I have a degree in accountancy, but because I could speak Chinese, I ended up working for Aviko in China. I spent almost 3.5 years there, supporting the SAP software implementation process. With this software, we can process almost all our information in a single system.”

“I wasn’t very familiar with the IT world, but I still gave software training sessions in China.”

“Together with a colleague, I also investigated the network there and improved the network infrastructure. Our goal was to improve various IT processes.”

“I wasn’t all that familiar with the IT world at all, so I’m very proud of the fact that I even gave SAP training courses in China.”

“It just goes to show how much you can learn at Aviko and how much room you’re given to grow. I’ve since returned to the Netherlands, and I mainly work on automating contract confirmations now. These projects will often start with a request submitted by a colleague, but it takes a lot of meetings and research before they’re actually implemented.”

“I was able to make a difference in China.”

“My work has a lot of impact. The IT department is overlooked, but we’re an integral part of an organisation’s very foundation. I was able to make a huge difference in China. Before, all the work was done manually, but they now have an automated process that has greatly reduced the workload.”
“I’m very proud of this project and I’m happy to still be in touch with my Chinese colleagues.”
