Freddy Klavers works on everything that happens in and around the cold store. He plans, organises and coordinates dispatch activities, stays in touch with production departments and heads a team of five managers.
“My work is very diverse. At the moment, most of my time is devoted to the new cold store. Our current cold stores can accommodate 10,000 pallets together. Our new cold store will hold more than 40,000 pallets. This means we won’t have to store our products in third-party cold stores anymore, skipping a step in the chain.”

"Safety comes first."

“Everyone is working as hard they can to make sure that we can be operational in April 2020. As always, safety comes first, so whatever we do, we always make sure that our employees are safe and sound.”

"I'm very proud of this project. It’s a ‘one Aviko’ project that involves people from inside the company and third parties.”

“What I like is that your position doesn’t matter. “Whether you’re a line operator working on a production line, a forklift driver in the warehouse, or a member of the managing team who makes strategic decisions, every employee contributes to Aviko’s common goals. Management also does its utmost to keep everyone informed of things going on within the company.”

"Everyone contributes to Aviko’s common goals.”
