Frank Ronkes is responsible for the procurement of goods and services, ranging from major technical investment projects to packaging material, logistics, energy and ingredients such as vegetables and fish. In other words, everything apart from potatoes.

“We play an active part in major projects. We’re currently involved in procuring a whole new factory in Belgium, for instance. We follow the entire commercial process from the specification phase to construction and aftercare, making sure that we have multiple offers and checking whether everything is going according to plan.

I love seeing how much you can achieve at Aviko. I started as a non-product-related procurement officer, before becoming senior procurement officer just six months later. Another 18 months later, I was responsible for the entire department. I really get the feeling that I’m appreciated here. On top of that, I think it’s important that customers come first. We make sure that we procure high-quality products, that our products can make it to customers on time and in the right quantities at the lowest possible cost.”
